We all know that misery will enter our lives sometimes. Relatives die, legs break, layoffs occur. Sometimes, even mentally deranged people might shoot at us. We all feel pain, we all suffer.

The question is this: Then what? What do we do next? That is our decision. Our life is filled with options, with the choice to push forward into a world of good or to wallow in the bad.

As the president said, we have control over how we treat one another. We can absolutely dictate that.
