Hannah received a wonderful honor today, being named Emerging Philanthropist of the Year by the Georgia Center for Nonprofits. It was so flattering for her to be recognized by the group for her work in Atlanta and in Ghana.

In her acceptance speech, she told the audience of 500, "As you out there know, you don't do community service to get awards or to be recognized but because you care..... I want to accept this award not for myself or for my family but on behalf of the people who dream of a better future for themselves, for their children and for their grandchildren, and then work their hardest every day to make that dream a reality. Many of these people have become my new heroes and I am proud to call them partners."
